Interview With Music Video Producer -

Today during our lesson we was privileged enough to interview music video producer and founder of 'CrashBurn Media' Ryan Mackfall, in which me and my fellow group member was able to discuss our proposed treatment of film and discuss areas for improvement and general feedback. Mainly the concern for my group was to ensure the documentary/informative style of our music video would be suitable in the sense that it would work within whilst also subverting typical conventions of a music video.

Overall the including of extracts of speech and the feminist approach to the music video was greatly received by Ryan, in that we was reminded that we should not feel that due to pop music videos the general public are commonly presented with under the 'charts' category that we should feel the need to conform to these. Further on from this, he particularly encouraged our want to create a more artistic and informative style of music video. Finally we was reminded by Ryan to keep both the style, setting, narrative and almost all aspects to the production as simplistic as possible in order to keep the process as easy for us and ultimately as accessible as we possible have the technology and experience to do so.

The video regarding this interview will follow up in a later post.
